We're told to avoid the sun like the plague. From the womb to our last breath, all we hear is how harmful sun exposure is. "Don't go outside too long. Wear a hat. Wear long sleeves. Use sunglasses. Use sunscreen." But I am here to tell you, sunshine is one of THE MOST important health hacks, and, it's totally free. It's time to say enough is enough of their lies!

How did we learn to fear the sun? Why haven't we heard about all of the heart, brain, immune, gut and skin benefits of sunshine exposure?

In short, we have been deceived by the medical authorities and their controllers in order to perpetuate sickness and dependence on the medical industry.

Let’s break down the myths to understand what our ancestors instinctually knew: The God-created sun is the source of all life.

Our Ancestors Didn’t Fear the Sun — They Welcomed It

Before sunscreen, sunglasses, and dermatology appointments, people lived in sync with the sun.
From Ancient Egypt to Greece to Rome, sun exposure was seen as healing — not harmful.

  •  Hippocrates prescribed sunbathing to his patients.
  • “Heliotherapy” was mainstream until the mid-20th century
  • Hospitals once featured sun decks where patients sunbathed to aid recovery.
  • Outdoor laborers (like farmers and shepherds) have lower disease rates, not higher.

Our Skin (and Eyes) Is a Solar Panel

Plants collect light in their leaves and turn the light into food/energy. Human skin does the exact same thing. It collects sunlight to create energy and many other critical nutrients.

Our Skin (and Eyes) Is a Solar Panel

Plants collect light in their leaves and turn the light into food/energy. Human skin does the exact same thing. It collects sunlight to create energy and many other critical nutrients.

When sunlight hits your skin and your eyes, it signals a cascade of healing:

  • Vitamin D production (from skin exposure)
  • Nitric oxide release (lowers blood pressure)
  • Serotonin boost (improves mood, focus, and sleep)
  • Melatonin optimization by the pineal gland (enhanced recovery and anti-aging)
  • Synchronizes circadian rhythm — your internal clock

But here’s the key: your eyes must receive unfiltered light.
Wearing sunglasses is like putting your pineal gland on airplane mode.

Sunlight needs to hit the retina on the back of the eye to produce melanin.

What seems harmless could be one of the most overlooked threats to our natural relationship with the sun. When sunlight doesn’t reach the retina, the brain receives the wrong signal—one that tells the body it’s still in the dark. As a result, we don’t produce adequate melanin, the pigment that not only helps protect our skin from sunburn but also enables us to convert sunlight into vital compounds like vitamin D and other hormones. If there's any link between the sun and cancer, it may have more to do with blocking these nourishing rays than receiving them.

(The retina should be LOADED with omega DHA fatty acids, found in our Wild Salmon Roe and Brain Child, from seafood in order to convert photovoltaic energy in chemical energy in the body).

A little more about the pineal gland

This tiny gland governs:

  • Your circadian rhythm (sleep/wake cycles)
  • Melatonin production (deep sleep & cellular repair)
  • Melanin production which naturally protects against UV radiation by absorbing harmful rays and converting them into harmless heat. This built-in defense helps reduce the risk of sun damage.
  • Hormone balance
  • Intuition, clarity, and what many call your “third eye”

When you constantly shield your eyes from natural light — especially in the morning — you disconnect from your body’s natural intelligence.

Studies suggest chronic artificial light and lack of natural light stimulation may contribute to:

    • Brain fog
    • Mood disorders
    • Hormonal imbalances
    • Even accelerated calcification of the pineal gland, which some associate with cognitive decline

    Now here's one caveat

Excessive sun exposure if you haven't properly built up your tolerance. BURNS are never good. If you know you are going to be in the sun for extended amounts of time and are concerned with burning, we do have a healthy answer for you. Wild Mamas created the healthiest natural sunblock on Earth made with our wild bison tallow and non-nano zinc oxide. Using this sunscreen on the tips of your nose or shoulders is sometimes just what we need to prevent burning from excessive sun exposure if you need a sunscreen that feeds your skin instead of blocking your biology.

Experience the transformative power of our Wildly Nourishing Bison Tallow Sunscreen — handcrafted from regenerative organic bison tallow, biodynamic olive oil, non-nano zinc oxide, and organic beeswax. That's it!

    Modern Life Blocks the Light

We wake up indoors, drive in UV blocking cars, work under LEDs, and miss the sun entirely. We even wear sunglasses on cloudy days, blocking the very spectrums of light our brains evolved to detect.

This disconnection from natural light is contributing to the rise in:

    • Insomnia
    • Anxiety/stress/depression
    • Heart attacks and strokes
    • Weight gain
    • Hormonal dysfunction
    • Chronic fatigue

The truth is: your body was designed to thrive in the sun.

Don't fear the sun. You need to relearn how to receive it.

✅ Get sunlight within minutes of waking and try to wake with the sunrise.
Throw out your sunglasses — let the light naturally calibrate your brain
✅ Expose your skin (and eyes) to light daily— ZERO eyeglasses or contacts
✅ Eat the right ancestral foods, get appropriate sleep and avoid toxins.
    ✅ Build sun tolerance naturally

Let your body remember its ancient rhythm.
Soak up the healing frequency of the sun.
